Salomon XA Lite GTX Women’s Trail Running Shoes
Get out onto any terrain in any weather with a light foot and a clear head. No need for compromises. The XA Lite GTX shoe is your ideal game partner, swift, steady and long-lasting.
Salomon Flex Engineered With GORE-TEX Upper
The upper of the Salmon XA Lite GTX is developed with the Flex Constructed which is engineered with durably waterproof GORE-TEX providing greater flex, better cushioning and less weight. The GORE-TEX membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). It has over 9 billion pores per square inch. It’s these pores that give the GORE-TEX fabric its characteristics. Wet fabrics rob your body warmth. GORE-TEX fabrics are durably waterproof, allowing you to stay dry and enjoy your activity in comfort.
Developed with a Sensifit, it works to cradle the foot and provide a precise and secure fit for added comfort and support. With a Quicklace System, it ensures a minimalistic and strong lace for one-pull tightening for easy on and easy off of the shoe, while the Lace pocket provides storage for these laces. Additionally, the Friction Free Lace Eyelets also ensure quick and easy one pull lacing. Lastly, for added protection when out on the trails, the shoe is equipped with a Mud Guard which provides protective material all around the base of the shoe.
Molded EVA Midsole
Developed with a molded EVA midsole, it provides lightweight cushioning and enhances stability, while found in the forefoot is the injected EVA which also gives underfoot cushioning while running.
A shoe for every terrain doesn’t have to be heavy. Salomon has lightened the chassis for extra comfort and freedom of movement. Less weight means longer playtime.
High Abarasion and High Traction Contagrip Outsole
Salomon developed Contagrip because they wanted to be 100% certain that their footwear would offer flawless performance, come rain, shine, asphalt or rock. It is a carefully balanced blend of density, compound and geometry. Contagrip soles are a mix of different compounds with different densities. This means that different zones of the outsole are softer or harder, depending on where they’re placed. Areas that are prone to wearing out faster have harder wearing high-density compounds e.g. the edge of the outsole. Other areas use lower density compounds which offer a bit more flexibility and grip e.g. the central column of the outsole. The Salomon XA Lite uses a combination of both Contagrip High Traction and Contagrip High Abrasion as this gives the perfect balance between durability and traction in all trail conditions.
