Salomon Evasion 2 Mid LTR GTX Walking Boots
Split leather and GORE-TEX makes the Evasion 2 Mid LTR GTX protective and durable. The mid height construction offers extra ankle support and protection, especially important challenging trails. An aggressive outer sole means it’s ready for any adventure in any conditions. An ideal boot for longer or multi-dry hikes and when you’re carrying a pack.
A split suede leather has been chosen to construct the upper of the Evasion 2 as it an extremely durable and waterproof fabric, keeping the foot protected against the various rough terrain and weather conditions that you are likely to encounter on the trails. Gore-Tex has been used for the lining of the Evasion 2. Gore-Tex is a membrane which is entirely waterproof to keep the inside of the boot dry at all times, as well as being extremely breathable, allowing warm air to be release from inside of the boot and cool air to flow into the boot to keep the foot cool, dry and comfortable for longer. A leather cap has been added to the toe area of the boot which offers much needed protection to the front of the foot and the boot. The gusseted tongue on the Evasion 2 allows for a close and comfortable fit against the foot and helps to keep mud out of the boot for a clean wear. A pull-loop has been added to the heel, allowing the wearer to quickly and easily put the boot on as well as taking it off.
Injected EVA Midsole
An Injected EVA has been chosen for the midsole construction as it offers supreme cushioning for under the foot as well as helping the boot mould to the foot to offer much needed support, giving the wearer comfort and stability as they train. An Ortholite Sockliner has been added inside the boot to offer the wearer additional cushioning as well as superb breathability, helping to keep the foot cool and dry as well as comfortable.
The Evasion 2’s outsole is constructed from High Traction Contagrip which is a superbly long lasting rubber which will keep the bottom of the foot protected. The Contagrip also helps the boot to grip loose, uneven and damp surfaces that you may come across on the trail, keeping the wearer stable on their feet.
